The Minister of Economy, Employment and Industry, Francisco Conde, had a meeting with the Beariz mayor, Manuel Prado, to analyze new projects to boost the business network and the employment of the area. In the meeting they evaluated initiatives as the development of the future business park, as well as employment workshops organizated by the council, who will publish a call in a few months. In the last few years, the Department of Economy, Employment and Industry supported the council, companies and neighbours to invest over 700.000 euros through 500.000 euros of public aids.
These supports could be reinforced in the coming years, since the municipality belongs to the network of Entrepreneurs Councils. Belonging to this initiative allows municipalities to have priority in aid programs linked to employment and training, business revitalization or energy efficiency. In return, the city council is committed to local tax cuts up to 95 percent and to offer more facilities in administrative processing to favor the acquisition of new businesses and new investments. Ourense is the province with the most municipalities adhered to this agreement.
